劉軒's talk - 26 May 2011, thurs

在漫游中创造双赢的人生 = love what you do, do what you love.
Its really boosting up my confidence yet killing me by his word. He is really great speaker, as he able to bring the flow smoothly and he able to attract and maintain the attention of the audience although me myself slip off once or twice through the whole session.

What is so impress to me was his life as in lot of terms i felt the same way as he does and also some of the thoughts are a like.

Although i might a bit old to ask this 3 questions to myself but i believe it may bring me to the right track of my life.

1. Who am i? 2. What makes me so special? 3. Why should i care?

It is really troubling me all this while, sometimes i'm gone blank with lot of question in my mind. Luckily, today i went to his talk and now i realize that is nothing wrong with myself. This 3 questions is real important to us as it is able to create the life of ours.

Well EQUIP ourselves to get through everything in our life.

Sometimes i felt that am i too late to start equip myself. I've lack of knowledge to express what i felt and what i think. No matter what, it is not late for me to start my journey. COMMENCEMENT - the word that brought up. It means the ceremony for graduation yet it means the new start of beginning.

No Crisis, No Changing
Listen to your heart

What i was thinking in my mind was that he DARE to CREATE his life. He had been done a lot of thing throughout his life. This is what i thought of, i would like to try out lot of different thing and hope to share with lot of people and may hope that it could help others.

It will be comes to the phrase as :

Do what you love, Love what you do

This is what he mean by win win situation should be occur in our life. Nothing that we do in our life is wrong in overall where it depends on how much you have learn about it and it is like equipping ourselves to the other road. We should have do something we love and to love what we do for what we want.

I'm not a chinese educated person, so my chinese is real bad. But i felt excited to read on his book and only book that i know about him "Why not? 给自己一点自由". I felt that this is what i thought about. I really never know that now i got to know him more after attending his talk.

At last of the session he give us a word.

Thanks for the great talk. I really enjoy it very much and i really felt that you are the one.

Process

Throughout my 20+years of life. I never know that enjoying a process is so much excited and it able to motivate and maintain the great feeling without a full stop. Creating self-confidence is also affected by the process that we have been go through before we success.

It is a feeling whereby you aren't able to stop talking about how is the process should be. The next time could be better than this time. Keep on thinking how should it be done better the next time. What have gone wrong in this time, how should it be a better way to continue in the next time.

It is like an antidote to cure a person who demotivate and give up about certain things. It also able to create happiness and overcome a sadness whereby the other opportunity had gone. It able to cure the pressure which had been created for some times.

It may also like you able to catch your dream where it seems to be just in front of you. Cause in certain ways that the process is a way to grow you up. Because we started to learn more about the way we should be. It is a bright light shining in as the dream could be reality.

GuangZhou (stock up trip)

Packing before few hour for the trip was my habit. I did not take any sleep, i out to have a sip of tea with my friend out and then to my cousin sister house to wait to go to the airport. She is greater than me as she just packed her stuff while waiting for her friend to come to fetch us. Then we went to the airport and we had a sip of chocolate for myself, then we gather with her friend who went with us as they are those well established business person to have a business trip.
We then arrived to Guang Zhou early in the morning. It is quite relaxing with a little breeze air in the month of March (2011). From there we go to the Hotel Lido for our 4 days 3 nights stay which located at Beijing Road. There is real lot of shop and i can just walked around the area to buy lot of cheap thing.

We went to few complex for our stock up such as "十三行" and few other places. There is place which sell real cheap and also some places sell higher prices stock. The stock which is more expensive is those stock which is more quality and more better design and easier to look for. As for those cheaper item, it is needed more time to search on. But to be in this industry is not easy. Through all this i learn lot of thing. From there i see their culture, they are all very rough but this is how the environment groom them up. They need to fight with millions of people to live better or even just to survive.
Everyday went to do stock up, from morning 7am till 6pm whereby they will close their shop off their business. I walk around myself all the while when we have done our work and also during the night time. We ate their local fast food restaurant, SezChuan restaurant, Chinese Cuisine, local mee store, roasted duck, "chee cheong fun", pig blood porridge, ice cream (not like ice cream), and others.

There is stall in the middle of the street selling only milk, selling junk food, selling lottery and lot of other thingy.

I also went to a temple to go around and have a look. It is very nice at it is a very short building surrounded by those giant building and felt a relaxing and de-stress in such a place. I saw a cat which give me the special feeling.
I bought lot of cloth and lot of shoes for around few hundred ringgit. Is quite fun to have such a trip.
End of this trip brought me a real experience and also fun. I love to shop at there so much. I'm wondering for the next visit.

Boracay, Phillipines (part 2)

Early morning, we went to the airport. We ate breakfast at the airport. We took the Zest Airway which is the local flight to Kalibo by using around 1 hour or lesser. The situation is just like from Kuala Lumpur to Kuala Terrengganu (to P.Redang). But from Kalibo we still need to take tricycle to the port to get to the Boracay island. As we get to the island, we take a jeep to the nearby beach which all the hotel or resort situated. As we arrive there, just a word "WOW". The sand is white and the sea is blue. Everywhere is people from nook and corner of the world. Those Filipinos, keep on approaching us in those water sport activity. This is a real long beach, there is different section there which is section 1 (*city), section 2(*town), and section 3(*rural).(*just what is what i felt about)

There is a matters that is happening, where the hotel that we had do booking had been cancel and we dont know about. Thereafter, we start to look around for hotel or resort around there. Some is looking around and some is waiting at a side to take care of the luguage. While waiting we ate the local made ice cream. It is not the usual ice cream, but it is unique. After we had found the hotel that we are going to stay for the first nights, we had our lunch there.

After lunch, we are having our own time to walk around, sleep, or water sport start. For me, i walk around to get to know the places. It is so gorgeous, as i felt it doesn't seems to be like a beach as in Malaysia. It is totally like a small town, with lot of place to explore which you able to find that in lot of split road it actually lead to you another area. Life is also the same, we might sometimes gone to a very unusual or strange path but sometimes it may lead us to a surprise ending. Don't give up and be brave to explore with careful observations. We used up lot of itme to explore to look for restaurant for our dinner. We explore all the way to Section 2 and it already getting late therefore we stop there and get back to our hotel at section 3. Section 3 is really very relaxing section as there is not much entertainment but it is cheaper compare to the first 2 section.

We had our tea time at d' talipapa, which is a small market and there is lot of small stall selling daily use product which is like you get into another small town. We also saw that the couple wedding at the beach there, it is so romantique although is nothing about grand wedding. Normally is those local people get their simple wedding there and it is not at the night time but around evening.

Then around dinner time we went to a restaurant to have a buffet it is around RM30 per person. It is pretty nice choice on the first night. There is performance on fire and also a live band. After that we walk around and all of us each put on a temporary tatoo as it only cost us around RM9 each. We then on our first night party as we went to a bar/pub called CocoMangas which is some sort like "clubbing"(in Malaysia terms). We had a beer each one and we tried to dance at the dance floor but it is quite weird. Then some of the member in my group, they slept at the pub. Therefore we don't stay there long, we took tricycle to get back to our hotel and end our first day.

The second day, early morning we went for our breakfast in the hotel eating their local hotdog and some orange juices then the water sport day started as on the first day there is Filipinos who approach us on those water sport. Early morning it rains, but then we still go for our water sport but we waited for some times. Our guide who with us through out the whole trip is called Renang (Nang). We then went to another island to explore to the cave and the view there is so nice and windy. It is like an abandon island or abandon resort but we still need to pay for the entrance fees.

As we get back from the abandon island, we went to d'talipapa to had our simple lunch and also change to another hotel as perwhat we plan. But we are in trouble as we put on the temporary tatoo on the first night, as we do not know that we need to wash it properly so that it won't stick on the bedsheet cover. We had some arguement with the management people in that hotel. But then, we found out actually they wanted to cheat us on the payment as they would like to claim us around RM500 as we had argue for long time, they then change to around RM100++.We then swtich to another hotel which is more to like a more local hotel. We then went to play the flying fish which is almost like banana boat. It is incredible fantastic, i felt so excited and scare.

We then also request with the chef of the hotel, we bought those seafood from the d'talipapa wet market and we eat BBQ at the hotel. It is really a very delicious meal after all. We also got to know a foreigners which able to speak in Chinese. We went to section 2 for d'Mall to walk around, it seems to be a high class shopping area. It is full of tourist. We then have our second party near the beach. We have beer for each one because it is cheap as around RM4+. We had a great night dance and even we had drink. I really think quite a lot of thing, sudden a pop in my mind "just do what you think is alright and don't wait for the next second". Therefore, i swim at that night. It is so wonderful night that i'm having. Never thought that i am able to be dare myself to do something i thought of for many years. We then back to hotel by tricycle and ended our second night there.

The third day, we start our water sport fun again. We went down to the sea whereby we wear like an UFO and also need to wear the shoes down to the sea to get nearer with the sea creature. The mask that we wearing is real heavy when we are at the surface, but when we get into the deep sea, it is very light. We feed the sea creatures and also we take photo there. Somehow it seems to be quite bore. (*laughing) After that, we went for our lunch at Bite Club where the Burger is as big as our face which located at d'Mall.

After we had a fantastic and fun lunch, we start our next journey to drive 8tv. But it is not adventerous enough where it is only drive on a very simple road. But as we drive to peak along there is farmland which is like a mini zoo, then we also stay at the peak to take some photo at the very nice view which is almost the whole island. It is quite expensive for this game, a little regret feels towards it. We then went back to hotel to have a bath and also went for seaside massage. It is cheap and real nice. I fall asleep as i being massage. Wish to have the second time.

We then had our dinner. That dinner was crazy as there is crab, vegetable, 2 type of fish, and a pork. The fish was fantastic, the chef did not clean up the fish and didnt take off the scale. The whole fish was steam well nice as it didn't even put on any sauce on top of it. Luckily it is totally fresh and i able to know what is called tasty fish. After the fantastic dinner, some of them went to d'talipapa to shop some souvenir and some take some rest and some went to have a walk around. For me, Nang brought me have a walk at another street to get some souvenir. It seems to be a place where tourist seldom went into. Anyway, it is too late as they started to close their shop.

There he brought me to eat the porridge that sell by a bicycle man. They eat the porridge in a real different way. They will get some lime juice, egg, soy sauce, pepper, and fried onion. It is real different flavour but it just like soup but i can't feel the rice. It is so special to me. We then had our last night party at the same bar/pub we went to on second night. We ordered different cocktail for each person as it is also very cheap which is around RM10+.

We then found out that the nice mangoes juice was selling just nearby the bar/pub which is Jonah's. I felt that i love to be alone, from there i walk around the beach, and i did dance around with other tourist that dance at the side of the beach. It was cool. Then i went off after that, and get back. Some of them went to have supper and i went to another pub at the next door. While we felt the song was quite nice and we started to enjoy it, Nang told us that there is some guys which is with their guns staring at us with an unfriendly face so we leave once we being inform. We back to hotel and chit chat a while and we get to sleep.

The next morning, we awake and pack our stuff to leave the wonderful island. Before we leave, we still eat fish porridge before we leave the island. Nang, bought us souvenir as we leave the island. Then again we get a tricycle to get to the port, then get to the boat back to kalibo. We then get on a van (it doesn't cost much if you get the van by yourself) to the airport, from there to airport it take quite some time as there is such a traffic. We waited for few hour at the airport, therefore we had instant noodles as we falt quite hungry. While waiting, we get to know 2 Filipinos as they said they open a hair saloon at Boracay island. They are really friendly and fun to talk to.

We then get back to Makati, Manila and i get back to my friend house as i'm started to not feeling well therefore after i had the steamboat i sleep the whole night. The next day, i get myself to do some pedicure which cost me RM10(but the quality is not that good as the choices of color also very less) and also had my lunch and then i pack all my stuff to get to the airport.

At the airport i myself eat prepacked lasagne and "xiao mai" for my dinner. As i eating myself, i talk to the local people (George) who is going to fly over to another city to work. I then get to know with another guy who is heading to Malaysia as to explore on whether can he have a gallery in Malaysia. He is from entertainment industry. He is nice to talk to and he did show me some of his drawing. As i board into the plane, as usual the air-steward will start with introduction on what to do during the emergency matters happen. After they finish, i was just preparing to close my eyes to get some rest, and there is people holding camera run to the back of the plane where they start played Lady Gaga song and start introductin with the emergency matters by dancing. What a wonderful ending of the trip.

This trip had teach me lot of thing. Really wondering my next stop could bring me what kind of thought. Awaiting.
